Finding Purpose in the Small Wins
💡 Finding Purpose in the Small Wins 💡
Right now, I'm working at a clinic here in BC while pursuing my studies to build my career. My role involves managing IT, security, admin tasks, and overall patient experience. Since it's a small private clinic, I also take on different responsibilities to improve the way things run.
One of my ongoing goals is to enhance patient experience, making sure their visit feels smooth, welcoming, and informative. One recent project was improving our waiting room experience:
- ✅ Installed a new shelf with pamphlets to give patients easy access to useful health resources.
- ✅ Updated the waiting room video to be more engaging and easier to read—streamlining important information so patients can better understand it.
- ✅ Made small but meaningful changes to the space to make it more comfortable and welcoming.
Today, while going about my duties, I overheard a conversation in the waiting room:
🗨️ "The waiting room is a lot nicer now, huh?" 😊 "Yeah, it definitely is… lots of new changes."
It might seem like a small moment, but to me, it was a reminder of why I do what I do. Whether through technology, administration, or simply making a space more inviting—I love finding ways to improve experiences for people.
Because at the end of the day, great experiences—big or small—make all the difference. And that's what keeps me motivated. 🙌
