Job searching takes up more than time

I finally deep cleaned my apartment this weekend.

And honestly, it had been a while.

Job searching has taken up so much space in my head lately. I keep feeling like I need to be "on" all the time. Checking postings. Applying quickly. Worrying that if I'm too slow, I'll miss my shot.

I know that's not fully rational, but when interviews are still pending, companies haven't gotten back, and every day feels a little heavier, it's hard not to spiral a bit.

So taking care of myself has slipped. Taking care of my space has slipped too.

But this weekend I vacuumed, wiped down counters, did laundry, washed my sheets, and just tried to make my place feel livable again.

It sounds so small, but it helped.

For a little while, things felt normal. Not fixed. Not magically better. Just normal.

And I didn't realize how much I needed that.

If you're also job searching right now and feeling the weight of it, I hope you can find even one small thing that makes you feel like yourself again. Clean a corner. Make your bed. Go outside. Eat something real.

This is hard, and I don't know when it gets easier.

But even in the middle of all this, we still deserve moments where we get to breathe.
